PARKİNSON HASTALIĞINDA DİFFEOMAP YAZILIMI KULLANILARAK LOBUS FRONTALİSTE BULUNAN YAPILARIN HACİM HESAPLANMASI

Aim: Abnormality in brain anatomy and also cognitive functions of migraine patients is not so clear. Brain imaging studies are used to determine these abnormalities in migraine patients. Our study is aimed to calculate volume changes of brain structures in migraine patients by analyzing MR images with diffeomap software. This will be done by comparing images of migraine patients with images of age-matched control people. In this study it is also aimed to observe any differences between migraine patients with aura and without aura. Materials and Method: 30 migraine patients (aged between 18 and 70) and 30 age-matched control people (without any neurological and psychiatric diseases) are included in this study. Images will be obtained from a 3D T1-weighted, 1,5 Tesla MR device. Our MR protocol was as follows: MPRAGE sequence: sagittal, Repetition time (TR)=1900ms, Echo Time (TE)=2.67ms, FOV=250 mm, Matrix:256x256, section thickness=1mm. Brain parcellation maps will be constructed by analyzing MR images with diffeomap software (2). By using this software, first normalization will be done between subject images (images of our participants) and template images (so called “JHU-DTI-MNI”) which are composed by Johns Hopkins University, after that normalization and non-linear transformation steps will be followed. At the end brain images that are seperated according to functional regions will be obtained and volume calculations of those regions will be performed. Experimental values will be mentioned as mean ±standard deviation. Statistical analysis will be done by SPSS v15.
